Welcome December, although it feels more like late march, but thanks to the endless Christmas music playing and Santa Clause making appearances in every town we know it's December. With December comes dinner parties, parades, tree decorating, present shopping, family gatherings and more. Here is the perfect place to look for all of Decembers great activities on top of all the ones you have planned at home. If you're not one to celebrate Christmas though, here are also the many social awareness days and odd celebration days that December brings us.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Christmas Yard Sale from 8am to 12pm at the Kincardine United Church.

First Sunday of Advent; National Fritters Day

 

December 2nd

Kincardine Santa Claus Parade. "A Red & White Christmas" presented by the Kincardine Chamber of Commerce Parade starts at Sutton Park Mall (No Frills) and follows to Queen Street and then to Victoria Park Parade. Parade starts at 6:30pm. Meet & Greet with Santa in the Scougall Gallery following the parade. Food Bank donations to be accepted along the route.

Tiverton Christmas Tree Lighting starting at 7pm at St. Andrew's Park.

Skate with Santa - Bring the whole family out to CLKD's free family-friendly celebration! Skate with Santa, make a Christmas craft and enjoy hot chocolate and treats as CLKD celebrates the holiday season and International Persons with a Disability Day! From 1 - 3pm in the Davidson Centre arena will be the free skate with Santa. From 2 - 4pm upstairs by the walking track, there will be carol singing with the Landry family, hot chocolate, snacks and Christmas crafts for kids.

Spend New Years Eve at Galley’s Feed Lot, in beautiful downtown Kincardine. Featuring Must Stash Hat all night long! Joined by Eddie Max on drums. 3 sets, 10pm – 3am. $20 Cover. Free entry with dinner reservations down stairs, which is open from 5-10pm. Photo Booth available upstairs to get your pictures taken all night long along with complimentary appetizers. Galleys’ is the place to be this New Years Eve so get dressed up and come out for a night of fun and dancing with Must Stash Hat!

Sutton Park Inn New Year's Eve Masquerade Party with cocktails at 7pm, dinner served at 7:30pm and the dance at 9pm. A night filled with prizes, party favours, DJ music, cash bar, late luncheon and champagne at midnight. Dinner & dance is $50/person. Dinner, dance & accommodation are $200/couple and dance only is $30/person.

December 31st

New Seasons Restaurant New Years Celebration featuring Dark Angel Blues Band.

$60/person which includes dinner, a show, party favours, champagne, and a late lunch.

Drinks start at 6pm, dinner is at 7pm, and the show starts at 8:30pm.
